Cascadia Radio is a free, online community of Pacific Northwest amateur radio operators.
Cascadia Radio was created out of a desire to help organize regional amateur radio events and stay in touch with people in a modern way. Cascadia Radio does not intend to be a traditional Amateur Radio Club, nor replace the many excellent and established clubs in the area.
We have discussion channels in a Discord server for topics such as HF, emergency communications (EMCOMM), digital modes, new technology, and much more. Clubs or project specific groups are welcome to request an organization-specific channel in the workspace as well.
Q: Is this a club?
A: No! We welcome members of all amateur radio clubs as well as unaffiliated amateur radio operators.
Q: Do I need a ham radio license?
A: We welcome both licensed hams as well as unlicensed individuals interested in pursuing a license.
Q: I don’t live in the Pacific North West, what can I do?
A: That’s OK, you can still join! Just keep in mind that most of the people here are in the PNW, and discussions will often focus around the region.
If this sounds like something you would like to be part of, please Join Now to become part of the community!
Everyone in the Cascadia Radio Community, including the Discord server must adhere to our Code of Conduct. Please take the time to read and understand it.
